Jon Bon Jovi is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is the lead vocalist of New Jersey rock band Bon Jovi, known for albums such as 1986's Slippery When Wet, which topped the Billboard charts and eventually went 15 times platinum. Two of its singles, Livin’ on a Prayer and You Give Love a Bad Name, also topped the charts. The band won a Grammy Award for Who Says You Can't Go Home, their collaboration with country singer Jennifer Nettles, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Bon Jovi has also released two albums as a solo artist, including 1990’s double platinum-selling Blaze of Glory, written as the soundtrack to the action movie Young Guns II, starring Emilio Estevez and Kiefer Sutherland. The album features collaborations with Elton John, Jeff Beck, and Little Richard, and won a Golden Globe Award.
Bon Jovi made an onscreen cameo in Young Guns II, and went on to appear in various films and TV shows, such as U-571 with Matthew McConaughey, New Year’s Eve with Robert De Niro, and Ally McBeal with Calista Flockhart.
