Jayne Houdyshell is an American actress. Houdyshell has made significant contributions to theatre, appearing in the Broadway productions of Fish in the Dark, Follies, and Wicked, and the Off-Broadway debut of the drama Well. She commenced her television career with a 1999 episode of Third Watch and subsequently secured a recurring role in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC. Houdyshell has also transitioned to film, appearing in Romeo & Juliet with Orlando Bloom, The Humans, and Apple TV+'s Causeway with Jennifer Lawrence.
