Morrissey is an English singer, songwriter, and author. He was the frontman of British indie band The Smiths, whom he formed in his early twenties. After the band's breakup, Morrissey released his first solo album Viva Hate in 1988, followed by Bona Drag and You Are the Quarry. His most popular songs include Everyday Is Like Sunday, Suedehead, and The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get. Morrissey has appeared in the documentaries Glastonbury and New York Doll: The Movie, as well as the film Morrissey: 25 Live.
