R.E.M. was an American alternative rock band that pioneered the genre. The band released the albums Murmur, Lifes Rich Pageant, Green, Document, Out of Time, and Automatic For The People.Their most popular songs include Losing My Religion, The One I Love, and It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine). R.E.M. also appeared in the documentaries Athens, GA: Inside Out and Glastonbury, as well as the film Sesame Street: What's the Name of that Song? with Ben Stiller.
