Laura Dern is an American actress and filmmaker. She played Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World Dominion. Her other film credits include Blue Velvet and Marriage Story, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has also starred in the television series Enlightened and Big Little Lies, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. Dern produced and appeared in the Apple Original series Palm Royale and directed the film Call Me Crazy: A Five Film.
